Where it came from
Auxiliary Boosters was released as part of the Edge of Eternities expansion, a set designed to shift the competitive landscape of the card game by introducing modular equipment mechanics. The development team focused on the concept of 'field-adaptability,' aiming to provide players with tools that could be attached to existing units to alter their strategic utility during mid-game encounters.
The card’s aesthetic direction was led by illustrator Hitoshi Kondo, who utilized a clean, industrial art style to emphasize the functional nature of the boosters. Upon release, the card was widely received as a staple utility piece, praised by the community for its balanced power-to-cost ratio and its cohesive visual integration into the broader sci-fi theme of the Edge of Eternities series.
