Where it came from
The Become Anonymous card is part of the Magic: The Gathering 'Universes Beyond' expansion featuring the Assassin's Creed franchise, released in 2024. This set was designed to integrate the lore and stealth-based mechanics of the long-running video game series into the established rules of the card game, focusing on key historical figures and signature gameplay motifs from the series.
The card features artwork that depicts the iconic 'leap of faith' or stealth-oriented mechanics central to the series' identity. It was crafted by Wizards of the Coast in collaboration with Ubisoft to appeal to both fans of the game's tactical stealth elements and players looking for utility-based spells, balancing its visual aesthetic with a function that mirrors the protagonist's ability to vanish from sight.
