Bounty of the Hunt was released in 1996 as part of the Alliances expansion for Magic: The Gathering. The set was designed to follow the narrative of the Ice Age block, focusing on the war between Lim-Dûl the Necromancer and the coalition of the Five Kingdoms. This card, a green instant that allows a player to exile green cards from their hand to grant target creatures +1/+1 until end of turn, was intended to provide explosive combat utility during the game's early professional tournament era.
