Branded Brawlers

Branded Brawlers was released in 1999 as part of the Prophecy expansion for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Developed by Wizards of the Coast, the set was designed to explore themes of resource management and player conflict, introducing mechanics that rewarded players for holding back lands or engaging in aggressive board states. As a common creature, it was intended to serve as a functional mid-game combatant during the limited play formats that defined the era.
