Brazen Dwarf

Brazen Dwarf was released in July 2021 as part of the Adventures in the Forgotten Realms set, a unique expansion that brought the mechanics and lore of Dungeons & Dragons into the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Developed by Wizards of the Coast, the set was designed to capture the high-fantasy spirit of the tabletop role-playing game, featuring iconic monsters, spells, and locations from the Forgotten Realms campaign setting. The card itself represents a classic dwarf archetype, serving as a lower-rarity creature that exemplifies the set's focus on bridging two distinct tabletop communities.

The card was illustrated by Wisnu Tan, who utilized a bold, textured style to depict the dwarf with a distinct sense of personality and physical weight. The design intent for the card focused on utility in Limited formats, providing players with a straightforward creature that benefits from the set's treasure-token mechanics. Upon its release, the card was received as a solid, functional addition to red-aligned decks, praised for its clarity of purpose and thematic alignment with traditional dwarven craftsmanship and greed.
