Where it came from
Brightflame was originally printed in the Ravnica: City of Guilds expansion in 2005, designed as a high-mana Boros-themed sorcery meant to reflect the Legion's penchant for battlefield clearing and direct damage. It was later reprinted as part of the 2018 GRN Guild Kit, a product designed to celebrate the return to the plane of Ravnica by providing ready-to-play decks centered on the ten guilds of the city.
