Coiling Rebirth // Coiling Rebirth

Coiling Rebirth is part of the Bloomburrow Art Series, a collection of promotional cards released by Wizards of the Coast in 2024. These cards are designed to showcase the intricate, whimsical world of Bloomburrow, a setting populated entirely by anthropomorphic animals. This specific card, numbered 44, functions as an art showcase, stripping away the traditional rules text found on standard Magic: The Gathering cards to emphasize the visual storytelling of the set.

The artwork for this piece was created by artist Livia Prima, who utilized a lush, painterly aesthetic to capture the transformative and magical themes inherent to the set. By stripping back the card frames and focusing on the illustration, the design aims to highlight the artist’s interpretation of Bloomburrow's forest aesthetic. The series was received favorably by collectors who appreciate the game's shift toward high-fantasy illustration and the preservation of standalone art.
