Conclave Naturalists

Conclave Naturalists was originally introduced in the Magic: The Gathering expansion Magic Origins in 2015, later seeing a notable reprint as card number 160 in the 2020 Double Masters set. The card depicts a member of the Selesnya Conclave, a faction on the plane of Ravnica characterized by its communal, nature-focused philosophy and urban greenery. It was designed as an efficient utility creature for the green color identity, providing an immediate effect upon entering the battlefield that allows players to destroy target artifacts or enchantments.

The artwork for the card was created by illustrator Magali Villeneuve, who has contributed extensively to the visual language of the game. Her design captures the intersection of Ravnica's architectural density and the organic growth cultivated by the Selesnya, emphasizing the creature's role as both a soldier and a steward. In the competitive scene, the card has been valued for its functional utility, serving as a reliable tool for players seeking to answer board threats while maintaining a presence on the battlefield.
