Provenance

Where it came from

The Demon Wall card, numbered 97 within the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game series, pays homage to one of the most iconic recurring boss encounters in the franchise. The Demon Wall first appeared in Final Fantasy IV as a formidable obstacle that forces players to defeat it before it crushes their party, establishing a legacy of high-tension, timed combat that has been revisited in titles like Final Fantasy VII and XII.

The artwork featured on this specific card captures the monolithic, shifting nature of the creature, a design rooted in the gothic fantasy aesthetic that defined early Square Enix monster design. As part of the wider trading card game, it is designed to evoke nostalgia for long-time series veterans while serving as a tactical asset in competitive play, reflecting the meticulous attention to character lore and visual history that the collection maintains.
