Where it came from
Diversionary Tactics was released as part of The List, an expansive curated collection designed to bring older, out-of-print cards back into circulation. By integrating these legacy items into modern card game packs, the developers aimed to bridge the gap between historic gameplay mechanics and current player experiences, allowing collectors to rediscover cards that had long been relegated to secondary market obscurity.
The card itself features a minimalist aesthetic typical of the mid-game era, emphasizing functional clarity over elaborate visual flair. Its design focuses on the tactical utility of misdirection within the game's ruleset. Upon its original release and subsequent inclusion in The List, it was received primarily as a niche utility piece, valued by players who prefer strategic maneuvering and subtle disruption over brute-force deck compositions.
