Dregscape Sliver // Dregscape Sliver

Dregscape Sliver was released as part of the Modern Horizons Art Series in 2019. This subset was designed to highlight the intricate illustrations commissioned for the Modern Horizons set, offering players and collectors high-quality, frame-less versions of the game's creature art. These cards were produced as promotional items, intended to celebrate the aesthetic evolution of the Magic: The Gathering universe by spotlighting the artists who define its visual identity.

The artwork for this particular card was created by illustrator Svetlin Velinov, a long-time contributor to the game. Velinov utilized his signature style to depict the Dregscape Sliver, a creature from the sliver evolutionary line known for its ability to grant unearth to other slivers in the graveyard. The illustration was received positively by the community for its dark, atmospheric rendering of the creature's bioluminescent features, capturing the unsettling nature of the sliver species while maintaining the series' high standards for visual clarity.
