Elderfang Disciple

Elderfang Disciple was originally introduced in the Kaldheim expansion, drawing heavy thematic inspiration from Norse mythology and the distinct visual language of the Elves of Woodcutter's Holt. The card depicts a member of the Shadowfen elven society, characterized by their grim, ritualistic connection to death and the forest's darker cycles. The design intent was to create a functional discard effect that reflected the bleak, survivalist philosophy of its faction.

For the Foundations Jumpstart release, the card serves as a representative of black-aligned resource attrition strategies. The illustration maintains the stark, moody aesthetic established in the original Kaldheim release, utilizing high-contrast lighting to emphasize the figure's connection to the macabre. Within the context of the Jumpstart environment, it is designed to provide players with a repeatable or immediate way to disrupt an opponent's hand composition early in the game.
