What it does
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may ask target player a yes-or-no question. If you do, that player answers the question truthfully and abides by that answer if able until end of turn.
Don't cross him or you'll end up sleeping with the merfolk.

Where it came from
Frankie Peanuts was released in 2004 as part of the Unhinged set for Magic: The Gathering, a silver-bordered expansion intentionally designed for casual play rather than sanctioned tournaments. Created by Wizards of the Coast to subvert the standard rules of the game, the set utilized humor and bizarre mechanical interactions to offer a unique experience. The character itself serves as a meta-commentary on the game's turn structure, forcing players to confront the often subjective nature of turn-taking.
The card was illustrated by Mike Dringenberg, a renowned artist best known for his influential work on the Sandman series. Dringenberg's aesthetic for this piece leans into the surreal and whimsical tone of the Unhinged set, utilizing a loose, expressive style that fits the card’s disruptive ability. Upon its release, it was widely praised within the Magic community as a standout example of the set's experimental design philosophy, balancing chaotic mechanics with memorable, quirky character art.
