Frontier Bivouac

Frontier Bivouac was released in 2014 as part of the Magic: The Gathering set Khans of Tarkir. It represents the Temur Frontier, one of the five warring clans of the Tarkir plane, and was designed to provide players with a functional land card capable of producing one of three specific colors of mana—green, blue, or red—at the cost of entering the battlefield tapped. This 'tri-land' cycle served as a mechanical cornerstone for the set's three-color theme, helping players stabilize their resource pools in a format defined by its diverse, multicolored strategies.

The artwork for the card was created by Florian de Gesincourt, who focused on capturing the harsh, mountainous tundra of the Temur territory.
