What it does
Each opponent reveals cards from the top of their library until they reveal a creature card. Assimilate one of the creature cards revealed this way. Then each opponent puts the other cards they revealed this way on the bottom of their library in a random order. (To assimilate a card, put it onto the battlefield under your control with a +1/+1 counter. It's a Borg artifact creature and loses all other creature types.)

Where it came from
The Gift of Perfection, designated as card number 44 in the Star Trek Commander expansion, was released as part of a collectible card game initiative focused on the expansive universe of the Star Trek franchise. The expansion was designed to integrate key themes and characters from the series, aiming to capture the strategic complexities of interstellar command for players and enthusiasts of the lore.
The artistic direction for the set leaned heavily into the distinct visual aesthetic of late twentieth-century science fiction, utilizing high-detail imagery to represent the various technologies and ideologies encountered in the series. While the individual designers are part of a larger collaborative development team, the card was received as a functional component within the game's broader competitive meta, valued for its thematic alignment with the show's narrative focus on the Borg Collective.
