Where it came from
Gilgamesh, Master-at-Arms, designated as card number 338, is a notable entry in the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game. Introduced as part of the Opus series, this card draws directly from the legacy of Gilgamesh, a recurring and beloved antagonist-turned-ally in the Final Fantasy franchise. The card captures his signature aesthetic, characterized by his flamboyant personality and his obsession with collecting legendary weapons, a thematic cornerstone of the character since his debut in Final Fantasy V.
The design of the card emphasizes Gilgamesh's combat versatility and his capacity to wield multiple arms, reflecting his mechanical role within the card game's engine. Collectors and players often appreciate the card for its integration of high-fantasy illustration styles typical of the series' long-running visual identity. As with many cards in the Final Fantasy TCG, it serves as both a functional piece for gameplay and a commemorative collectible for fans of the expansive video game saga.
