Gilt-Leaf Palace

Gilt-Leaf Palace was originally released in the 2007 Magic: The Gathering expansion set Lorwyn. Designed as part of a cycle of tribal-themed lands, it reflects the aesthetic of the elven culture within the set, which emphasized a sharp, decadent, and predatory interpretation of the traditional fantasy archetype. The card was illustrated by Adam Rex, who focused on integrating the ornate, flowing architectural motifs characteristic of the Lorwyn elves with the natural, forest-bound environment of the plane.

The card was later included in The List, a curated selection of reprints integrated into Magic: The Gathering booster packs beginning in 2020.
