Gisela, the Broken Blade was originally introduced in the 2016 Magic: The Gathering set Eldritch Moon, representing one of the corrupted leaders of the Flight of Goldnight angels. This version, appearing in the 2025 Innistrad Remastered set as collector number 24, revisits the character during the cosmic horror-inspired transformation of the plane of Innistrad. The design reflects the character's descent into madness as she merges with her sister Bruna to become the Eldrazi horror Brisela, Voice of Nightmares.
