Glint-Eye Nephilim

Glint-Eye Nephilim was originally introduced in the 2006 Guildpact expansion as a rare creature card, representing a cycle of four-color monstrosities that broke from the traditional two-color structure of the Ravnica block. It was designed to highlight the chaos of the Nephilim, creatures buried beneath the city of Ravnica that predate the current guild structure. The design, featuring a unique ability that rewards players for casting spells in specific sequences, reflects the experimentation of the era regarding color identity and mechanics.

This specific iteration, card number 152 in the Dominaria United Commander set, serves as a reprint of the original creature. The updated printing allows the card to reach a new audience within the Commander format, where its complex four-color casting cost provides a distinctive challenge for deck builders. While the original release was noted for its unconventional power set, this version maintains the classic artistic intent, focusing on the eldritch, multi-eyed anatomy that defined the creature's initial visual reception among fans of high-fantasy illustration.
