Glittering Wish

Glittering Wish was originally printed as a rare card in the 2001 Judgment expansion for Magic: The Gathering. Designed as part of a cycle of 'wish' cards, it allowed players to pull cards from their sideboard into the active game, a mechanic that introduced a high degree of flexibility and strategic depth to competitive play during the Odyssey block. The artwork, illustrated by Greg Staples, captures an ethereal, magical atmosphere that aligns with the card’s thematic focus on granting a specific, powerful game state request.

The version featured in The List is a curated inclusion designed to introduce iconic or mechanically interesting cards from Magic's history to modern collectors and players. As part of a rotating selection found in Set Boosters, these cards are marked by a small planeswalker symbol in the bottom left corner, distinguishing them from their original printings. While the card is no longer a dominant force in top-tier competitive formats, it remains a beloved artifact among enthusiasts for its unique ability to tutor cards from outside the traditional deck limit.
