Halo Fountain // Halo Fountain

Halo Fountain was released in 2022 as part of the Streets of New Capenna Art Series, a curated collection featuring showcase frames that highlight the stylized, 1920s-inspired art deco aesthetic of the plane. This specific card focuses on the titular resource of the set, 'Halo,' a magical substance central to the city's power structure and economy. The visual design emphasizes the opulence and decadence of New Capenna's architecture, reflecting the high-society glamour that defines the expansion's narrative backdrop.

The artistic direction for this card sought to evoke the luminous, liquid nature of Halo, using gold-toned linework and geometric patterns synonymous with the art deco movement. Illustrators worked to bridge the gap between fantasy card game elements and the period-appropriate aesthetic of the set, creating a piece that functions as both a functional gameplay component and a thematic representation of the world's wealth. Upon release, the art series cards were well-received by collectors for their focus on the atmospheric world-building of New Capenna.
