Its inclusion in the Commander 2019 token and auxiliary collections helped maintain its presence in the game’s secondary ecosystem, providing players with a recurring damage-dealing threat that rewards aggressive, creature-heavy strategies.

The creature’s aesthetic design draws heavily from the Egyptian-inspired motif of the Amonkhet plane, characterized by the hybrid anatomy of a lion and a scorpion. Illustrators focused on a dynamic, aggressive pose to emphasize the creature's 'enter the battlefield' ability, which allows it to sacrifice another creature to deal damage.
