Provenance

Where it came from

Illusionist's Bracers first appeared in the 2013 Gatecrash set, designed as an artifact that rewards players for activating abilities multiple times. The card mechanics reflect the theme of the Izzet League, a guild in the Ravnica setting known for chaotic experimentation and magical replication. Its inclusion in Ravnica Remastered serves as a nod to these mechanical roots while providing a modern visual treatment for legacy players.

The 392z collector number indicates this is a serialized or specialized variant found within the Remastered set. These aesthetic updates were intended to celebrate the history of Ravnica by applying contemporary art styles to iconic artifacts. The design focuses on the duality of magical focus and mechanical ingenuity, mirroring the bracers' function of doubling activated abilities through arcane mirrors.
