Where it came from
The Incubob, cataloged as UB02b within the Unknown Event series, emerged as part of a niche, ephemeral collection known for its experimental art style and cryptic distribution methods. Created during a period when independent digital and physical card series were gaining traction among underground hobbyists, the item was designed to evoke a sense of surrealism, utilizing a distinct, minimalist aesthetic that prioritizes atmospheric tension over traditional character detailing.
The identity of the original artist remains largely shielded by the anonymous nature of the Unknown Event project, which favored mystery as a core component of its brand identity. Upon its release, the card garnered modest attention among avant-garde collectors who appreciated its unconventional framing and the lack of standard lore, leading to its status as a sought-after curiosity for those who track non-traditional card design trends.
