Inspired Charge

Inspired Charge was released in the March of the Machine expansion for Magic: The Gathering, which concluded the multi-year Phyrexian invasion storyline. The card is designed as a powerful combat trick, serving as a tactical representation of the unified resistance forces from across the multiverse rallying together to reclaim their homes. Mechanically, it provides a mass power boost to the player's creatures, emphasizing the theme of a synchronized final push against the antagonist forces.

The artwork for this specific iteration was created by illustrator Manuel Castañón, who focused on capturing the kinetic energy and diverse character designs inherent to the set's narrative. The illustration depicts a vibrant, coordinated surge of soldiers and heroes, reflecting the hopeful and climactic tone of the story. Within the game's design, it functions as a common-rarity effect that rewards players for building wide board states, a staple strategy within the white color identity.
