OBJECTIVE:
Create your own Assassin's Creed storyline, using the cards in your boosters as inspiration.
GET READY:
Open two boosters for each player and remove any cards without magic card backs. Then sort the cards into separate piles for creature cards, land cards, and other noncreature cards. Shuffle the piles and place each of them face down.
LET'S PLAY:
Go through the beats of the other side of this card in order, revealing a card from the top of the specified pile or taking the specified action. Tell a story as you go. After a player tells a bit of the story for a beat, it's the next player's turn for the next story beat. If there are no cards of the requested type, players can make something up.

Where it came from
Into the Story: Assassin Edition was developed as part of the Assassin's Creed Minigames series, a collection designed to distill the sprawling, historical-fiction narrative of the video game franchise into accessible tabletop experiences. Released to engage fans with the series' core tenets of stealth, parkour, and historical intrigue, the game was conceived to serve as both a standalone product and a thematic accompaniment to the broader Ubisoft brand, emphasizing quick, logic-based gameplay over lengthy campaigns.
The Story Beats card, designated as collector number one, was illustrated by the internal creative teams at Ubisoft who oversaw the game's aesthetic direction. The design prioritizes clear, iconic imagery reflective of the series' visual language, utilizing sharp lines and a minimalist color palette intended to evoke the classic aesthetic of the Creed. Upon its release, it was received primarily as a collectible novelty for dedicated fans of the franchise, noted for its compact design and its direct integration into the set's thematic mechanics.
