Jasmine Boreal

Jasmine Boreal was originally released in the 1994 Legends expansion for Magic: The Gathering, designed by the game's creators to introduce a wider array of legendary characters into the mythos. As a forest-dwelling leader associated with the lands of Yavimaya, her visual identity was established by artist Christopher Rush, who utilized the classic, painterly aesthetic characteristic of the game's early years to convey her rugged, protective nature.

The 2006 Time Spiral Timeshifted printing reissued the card using its original art and frame to celebrate the game's history. These cards were included as a special subset within the set, intentionally designed to evoke nostalgia for long-time players. The release was well-received for its archival approach, providing collectors with a high-fidelity opportunity to acquire a piece of Magic's foundational lore that had been out of print for over a decade.
