Jegantha, the Wellspring

Jegantha, the Wellspring was originally introduced in the Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths set in 2020 as a core representative of the set's companion mechanic. Designed to encourage unique deck-building constraints by limiting deck composition to cards without duplicate mana symbols in their cost, the creature reflects the elemental, wild nature of the plane of Ikoria. The Multiverse Legends version, numbered 109, was released as a special bonus card in the March of the Machine expansion, featuring a distinct, high-concept frame that highlights the character's status as a legendary avatar of mana.

The artistic direction for Jegantha seeks to convey a sense of primordial power and celestial balance.
