Judith, the Scourge Diva // Judith, the Scourge Diva

Judith, the Scourge Diva originates from the March of the Machine Art Series, a specialized promotional set released by Wizards of the Coast in 2023. These cards were designed to highlight the high-fidelity artwork of Magic: The Gathering, stripped of traditional game frames, text boxes, and mana costs. They were distributed primarily through collector boosters to offer fans a gallery-like experience of the expansion's diverse visual styles.

The artwork for this specific card was commissioned by the Wizards creative team to reimagine the character Judith, a popular figure from the Ravnica plane. The design focuses on her chaotic, performer-warrior aesthetic, utilizing dynamic lighting and expressionistic detail to capture her role as a leader of the Cult of Rakdos. The series was well-received by collectors who value the intersection of fantasy illustration and high-quality card stock, positioning these cards as curated keepsakes rather than standard game components.
