Kitt Kanto, Mayhem Diva

Kitt Kanto, Mayhem Diva was introduced in the 2022 expansion 'Streets of New Capenna Commander,' a set themed around the art deco-inspired, mob-controlled metropolis of New Capenna. As part of the 'Bedecked Brokers' preconstructed deck, the card embodies the flamboyant and chaotic energy of the plane's glamour-obsessed inhabitants. Wizards of the Coast designed the character to serve as a commander that incentivizes political gameplay, specifically through the Goad mechanic, which forces opponents to attack one another while rewarding the player for facilitating the conflict.

The visual design of Kitt Kanto was crafted to reflect the high-stakes, theatrical underworld of New Capenna. The illustration emphasizes the character's role as a performative instigator, blending the visual tropes of a 1920s jazz-age diva with the gritty, supernatural aesthetic central to the set. Upon its release, the card was received warmly by the Commander community for its ability to dictate the flow of the game, providing a distinct, interactive play experience that favors social maneuvering over pure attrition.
