Krosan Tusker

Krosan Tusker was originally introduced in the 2002 Magic: The Gathering set Onslaught. Designed to embody the raw, primal essence of the Krosa forest, the card became a staple for players seeking both a flexible resource and a formidable late-game threat. Its core mechanic—the ability to cycle the card to search for a land—solved a perennial problem in deck building by allowing players to smooth out their mana base early while retaining the option to cast a large, efficient creature later in the game.

The version from Commander Masters, featuring collector number 302, serves as a modern reprint that maintains the classic functionality of the original design. This iteration utilizes updated art direction to emphasize the creature's massive scale and integration into the lush, wild environment of the Otarian continent. It has been well-regarded by the community as a functional utility piece, favored for its simple yet effective design that balances tactical flexibility with power.
