Luminarch Ascension

Luminarch Ascension was introduced in the 2009 Magic: The Gathering set Zendikar, an expansion themed around high-adventure exploration and the discovery of ancient, trap-laden ruins. Designed as a rare enchantment, the card represented a thematic progression of celestial power, allowing players to build up quest counters during their opponents' turns to eventually summon a host of angels.
