What it does
Whenever a historic creature you control attacks, it gets +2/+2 until end of turn. (Artifacts, legendaries, and Sagas are historic.)
Whenever chaos ensues, reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a historic card. Put that card into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.

Where it came from
New Argive was released in 2023 as part of the March of the Machine Commander set, a supplemental expansion for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. This set was designed to tie into the overarching Phyrexian invasion storyline, depicting various iconic planes and factions throughout the multiverse as they mobilized to defend their homes against the multiversal threat. The card serves as a thematic representation of the resurgent nation of New Argive on the plane of Dominaria, which holds deep significance within the game's long-standing lore.
The art for New Argive was produced by artist Alayna Danner, who has been a staple contributor to the game for many years. Her design for this card focuses on the distinct architectural motifs and historical aesthetic associated with the Argivian people. The card functions as a land within the game's mechanics, intended to support the white-aligned strategies common to the set's commander decks. Upon its release, it was well-received by players and collectors for its ability to provide utility while grounding the high-stakes narrative of the set in the established history of Dominaria.
