Primordial Ooze

Primordial Ooze was originally released in the Legends expansion in 1994, later appearing in the Fifth Edition core set in 1997 with art by Randy Gallegos. The card represents a classic top-down design from the early era of Magic: The Gathering, intended to capture the flavor of a living, growing entity that consumes resources to gain strength. During the mid-nineties, such mechanics were hallmark examples of the game's focus on creature-based combat and permanent growth.
