Rampart Crawler

Rampart Crawler was released in 1999 as part of the Mercadian Masques expansion for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. This set was notable for its distinct visual departure from the high-fantasy aesthetic of earlier editions, shifting toward a more eclectic, steampunk-inspired setting set on the plane of Mercadia. The card was designed as a common-rarity creature to provide players with a functional defensive tool within the set's unique mechanics, which emphasized trade and political maneuvering over direct combat.

The illustration for the card was created by artist Jeff Miracola.
