Where it came from
Realm Seekers was introduced in 2014 as part of the Magic: The Gathering set Conspiracy, a unique multiplayer-focused expansion designed specifically for draft formats. The set was conceived to incorporate elements of political intrigue and social gameplay, with this particular card designed to reward players for their investment in land ramp strategies during complex, multi-player games.
The card features artwork by Steve Argyle, who was tasked with illustrating the towering, nature-bound elemental to convey its massive scale and utility. The design emphasizes its ability to scale in power based on the cards in a player's hand, reflecting the set's thematic focus on resource management and long-term tactical planning during the drafting experience.
