Where it came from
Repurposing Bay was released as part of the Aetherdrift Promos set, a collection of cards designed to highlight the intersection of technological salvage and magical utility within the game's expansive lore. The card was crafted to represent the resourcefulness of scavengers working on the fringes of the Aetherdrift regions, where discarded machinery is repurposed to sustain life and defense in harsh environments.
The visual direction for this promo focused on industrial textures and a muted color palette to evoke a sense of utilitarian craftsmanship. The illustration emphasizes the practical application of scraps and remnants, reflecting the game's broader thematic commitment to themes of restoration and innovation. Upon its debut, the card was received by players as a specialized tool for strategic deck building, valued for its mechanical efficiency in facilitating late-game recovery.
