Where it came from
Reroute Systems was released as part of the Edge of Eternities expansion, a set designed to emphasize themes of technological advancement and tactical battlefield manipulation. The card was conceptualized to provide players with a versatile tool for disrupting opponent strategies, reflecting the set's broader narrative focus on characters who possess the ability to alter the flow of time and space to gain a strategic advantage.
The artwork for the card was commissioned to evoke a high-tech, cybernetic aesthetic, utilizing clean lines and a palette of cool, neon-infused tones that define the visual identity of the Edge of Eternities collection. Upon its debut, the card was received by the player base as a technically sound utility option, praised for its clarity of function and how effectively its design language communicates its mechanical role in the game.
