Restless Dreams

Restless Dreams was released in February 2002 as part of the Torment expansion for Magic: The Gathering. The set was thematic in its focus on the plane of Toril, specifically the underworld of Chainer’s domain, and was notable for its emphasis on black mana and graveyard-centric mechanics. This card serves as a thematic continuation of that design philosophy, allowing players to discard cards to recover creatures from their graveyard, directly translating the set's obsession with memory and loss into gameplay.

The artwork was created by Greg Staples, whose dark, evocative style helped define the gothic aesthetic of the Torment set.
