Rockfall Vale was originally released in the 2021 set Innistrad: Midnight Hunt and was later reprinted as part of the 2022 release Innistrad: Double Feature. The card serves as a 'dual land,' a staple mechanic in Magic: The Gathering designed to provide players with flexible mana resources by allowing the card to tap for either red or green mana. The Double Feature set was a unique, limited-run product that combined cards from the Midnight Hunt and Crimson Vow expansions, presenting them in a distinctive monochromatic, silver-screen-inspired aesthetic to evoke the classic horror themes of the Innistrad plane.
