Selesnya Signet

The Selesnya Signet is a mana-producing artifact that first appeared in the Ravnica: City of Guilds set, designed to represent the Selesnya Conclave’s harmonious bond with nature. This specific version was reprinted for the Tarkir: Dragonstorm Commander deck, maintaining the mechanical utility of filtering mana into the signature green and white colors of the guild. The aesthetic reflects the arboreal and communal identity of the Conclave, characterized by lush, organic motifs and the guild’s iconic tree-like sigil.

The design process for the signet series was aimed at providing players with reliable mana acceleration that simultaneously highlights the thematic essence of the ten Ravnican guilds. By utilizing intricate metalwork that echoes the architecture of the Vitu-Ghazi tree-city, the card serves as both a functional tool in Magic: The Gathering and a piece of world-building lore. Its inclusion in subsequent Commander preconstructed decks like Dragonstorm underscores its status as a staple utility piece, prized for its simple, effective design and its consistency within multi-color deck archetypes.
