What it does
At the beginning of combat on your turn, mill a card. When you do, if there are four or more creature cards in your graveyard, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature you control and it gains deathtouch until end of turn. (To mill a card, put the top card of your library into your graveyard.)

Where it came from
The Sigil of Myrkul was released in 2022 as part of the Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate expansion for Magic: The Gathering. Drawing directly from the lore of Dungeons & Dragons, the card depicts the grim holy symbol of Myrkul, the Lord of Bones and deity of death. It was designed to function as an enchantment that rewards players for the death of their own creatures, mechanicaly reinforcing the necromantic themes associated with the cult of the dead god in the Forgotten Realms setting.
The illustration for the card was provided by artist Ovidio Cartagena, who utilized a stark, bone-centric aesthetic to capture the macabre essence of the deity. The design focuses on the iconography of a skull and scythe, reflecting the traditional imagery used in D&D sourcebooks to represent the portfolio of Myrkul. Within the set, the card served as a thematic centerpiece for black-aligned graveyard-centric decks, receiving modest attention from Commander players for its utility in sacrifice-based strategies.
