Sita Varma, Masked Racer

Sita Varma, Masked Racer was released as part of the Aetherdrift Promos set, a series of special-edition cards produced to celebrate the competitive circuit of the Aetherdrift trading card game. These cards were distributed primarily through high-level tournament play and regional events, intended to reward top performers with unique, serialized versions of popular characters. The design aesthetic for this specific card leans into the high-speed, futuristic motif central to the Aetherdrift universe, utilizing a distinct foil-etched texture that differentiates it from the standard card stock.

The character, Sita Varma, was illustrated by noted concept artist Elena Rossi, who sought to capture the kinetic energy of the character’s high-speed racing suit through bold, sweeping lines and vibrant color gradients. Upon its introduction to the competitive meta, the card was widely received by enthusiasts for its unique synergy with vehicle-themed decks, solidifying its status as both a functional tool for gameplay and a significant collector's piece. The inclusion of the 's' suffix in the collector number denotes its origin as a supplemental promotional print, rather than a card sourced from the base expansion set.
