Spiteful Bully

Spiteful Bully was released in the year 2000 as part of the Nemesis expansion for Magic: The Gathering. The set was designed to explore the mechanics of the Rath cycle, focusing on the dark, oppressive environment of the plane of Rath and the conflict between the Phyrexians and the rebel forces. As a black-aligned creature, the card embodies the brutal, self-sacrificing nature common to the color's philosophy during this period of the game's development.

The artwork was created by Greg Staples, an illustrator known for his atmospheric and moody contributions to the game during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
