Where it came from
The Strength of Will card, numbered 118s, originated as part of the promotional materials for the Marvel's Spider-Man trading card series. These cards were released to coincide with the popularity of Spider-Man media, serving as collectible inserts designed to highlight specific character attributes and thematic elements within the Marvel universe. The design aesthetic follows the established visual language of the series, utilizing vibrant illustrations that emphasize the heroic and resilient nature of the protagonist.
The card was produced to appeal to both casual collectors and dedicated Marvel enthusiasts who frequented hobby shops and comic book conventions. Its design focuses on minimalist but striking imagery, intended to showcase the internal resolve of the character. Upon release, the set was received as a standard addition to the broader Marvel promotional catalog, valued more for its thematic contribution to the collection than for mechanical rarity.
