Where it came from
The Sunset Saboteur, numbered 116s, was issued as part of the Edge of Eternities Promos set, a release designed to bolster organized play and celebrate the expansion's themes. It was distributed through high-level competitive tournaments and official hobby store events, serving as a rare, visually distinct version of the standard card to reward dedicated participants in the game's community.
The card's aesthetic reflects the high-fantasy, melancholic tone of the Edge of Eternities setting, featuring dynamic illustration that emphasizes the 'saboteur' archetype. While the design credit is shared among the internal studio art team, the style sought to merge sharp, modern graphic design with the traditional painterly influences of the game’s core visual identity, a transition that was received positively by players who appreciate collector-grade foil variants.
