Supernatural Stamina

Supernatural Stamina was originally printed in the Aether Revolt set in 2017 before being reprinted in Masters 25 in 2018 as card number 109. The card belongs to a long lineage of black instant spells in Magic: The Gathering that grant a creature a temporary boost and return it to the battlefield if it dies, functioning as both a combat trick and a form of protection. Its inclusion in Masters 25 was intended to celebrate the game's quarter-century history by curating mechanically useful and flavor-appropriate cards from various eras into a single draft-focused experience.

The art for this printing features the work of illustrator Sidharth Chaturvedi. The design aesthetic for the card leans into the grim, necromantic visual identity of black magic within the game, depicting a spectral energy clinging to a warrior to stave off death. Upon its initial release and subsequent appearances, the card was well-received by players for its efficiency in Limited formats, where the ability to save a creature from removal or unfavorable combat for a single black mana provides significant tactical value.
