Where it came from
Swirling Sandstorm was released in 2002 as part of the Judgment expansion, the third and final set in the Odyssey block for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Developed by Wizards of the Coast, this expansion was designed to conclude the storyline centered on the Mirari, a powerful magical artifact, and introduced mechanics focused on graveyard interaction and color-specific effects.
