Sylvan Offering

Sylvan Offering was originally released as a green rare in the 2014 Commander product set, designed to facilitate cooperative group-hug style play by allowing a player to grant benefits to both themselves and an opponent. As a spell that scales with the game state, it emphasizes the social nature of the Commander format by incentivizing temporary alliances between players at the table.

This specific iteration hails from the Secret Lair Drop series, a specialty line introduced by Wizards of the Coast to feature alternative artistic interpretations of established cards. The design for this version utilizes the distinct, stylized aesthetic characteristic of the artist Yuko Higuchi, whose intricate, whimsical, and sometimes unsettling botanical illustrations were curated to provide a unique visual experience for collectors distinct from the card's original frame.
