Sylvan Reclamation

Sylvan Reclamation was originally released as part of the Dominaria United Commander set in 2022. Designed as a utility spell for the Commander format, the card reflects the set's thematic focus on the history and revitalization of the plane of Dominaria, a central location in the Magic: The Gathering multiverse. It was created to provide green and white decks with versatile removal, allowing players to exile both artifacts and enchantments while simultaneously offering a minor ramp effect through land fetching.

The card features illustration by Wisnu Tan, who captured the lush, overgrown aesthetic typical of Sylvan-themed magic in the game. The visual design emphasizes the reclamation of structures by nature, aligning with the card's function of dismantling permanent cards. Upon release, it was well-received by the player community as an efficient, multi-purpose tool that fits neatly into the deck-building constraints of the Selesnya color identity.
